Ms SARAH DAVID AREO – MEMBER

Sarah David Areo is a highly experienced public servant, the Acting Director of the Administration, and Social Development Secretariat, at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA); in this capacity, she has served since 2017.
In a, bubbling and still evolving, career that began in 1993 as a Personnel Officer II in the Department of Finance Registry, Ms. David Areo has traversed the FCDA, serving in several capacities, thus: Assistant Secretary – Departmental of Tenders Board, Personnel officer, FCT N.Y.S.C. Governing Council, Administrative Officer, Engineering Maintenance, Administrative Officer to the Honourable Minister, F.C.T., Recruitment Officer, Head of Admin, City Infrastructure (South Division), Special Duties, Head of Service Delivery/Nodal Officer, and Head of Administration and Bilateral Relations, Department of Tourism, from where she became the Acting Director, Administration, Social Development Secretariat, where she is currently serving. Born in Keffi to a Gbagyi mother (a Midwife from Karu Ruling Family, now Abuja Municipal Area Council), and a father whose origin is Ogbomoso but born in Keffi Local Government (1927 – 2007, his business was Transportation/Food Contractor during the civil war, pioneer contractor, Federal Capital Development Authority, Field base Suleja), Ms. Areo is a thoroughbred public servant with multifaceted capacities and numerous international exposure.
